In Bihar Medical and Dental Admission Test (MDAT) is conducted for admission to first year BDS in Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital

Duration : 5 years (2 years B.D.S. for MBBS degree holders)
Eligibility : Age: 17 years on 31st December of the years of admission.

Qualifications :
10+2 Senior Secondary with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Securing 50% marks, for reserved category 40% marks, candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination can also apply.

Citizens of India, Candidates whose father/ Mother have been residents of Bihar for 10 years, Sons/daughters of Central Govt. employees serving in the State at the time of application, Sons/daughters of State employees/Member of All India Services on Bihar Cadre, Candidates whose parents are not alive may apply with 10 years residence certificate from DM.Request for Application Form : March/April

Application Procedure :
Application form and prospectus can be obtained in person from any of the medical/dental college on payment of Rs. 10 through Indian Postal Order/Bank draft in favour of the college. Applications are required to be sent through registered post only. Completed applications along with the bank draft of Rs. 100 and self –addressed stamped Rs. 7 envelope of 9”x4” should be submitted to the district Magistrate where the candidate has passed the qualifying examination.Selection :
Selection is made on the basis of merit in the test. This test is of Intermediate Standard. The questions in the test are of objective type in the Subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Botony and Zoology.This Institute also has the facility for 2 years BDS (condensed) course for MBBS degree holders.
