The Department of Dental Surgery was upgraded to the Center for Dental Education and Research (CDER) in 2003. At present, it has 8 faculty members. It aims to impart post graduate degree courses (MDS) in all the nine specialties of Dentistry besides conducting Continuing Education courses and providing leadership in Dental Research.
