The members of the foundation are eminent personalities in various walks of life such as education, research, industry, business and administration. In light of this, B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Engineering College was established as a Muslim minority college in 1984 approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and later by the All India Council for Technical Education and is presently affiliated to the premier and world renowned Anna University.
