                The College and the Teaching Hospital are located on the picturesque hill slope above River Tawi about 8 Kms away from the heart of Jammu City. It commands a scenic beauty all around with Mata Vaishno Devi Trikuta Hills and snow covered peaks on the north and small green hills surrounding other sides.

                The College has been accorded Hindu Minority Institution Status by the Jammu & Kashmir State Government.

List of Courses :-

                 The College offers programme of Bachelors Degree in Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S.). The course extends over a period of 41/2 years plus one year compulsory rotatory Internship required for the award of MBBS Degree.

Eligibility :-

a) The candidates must have passed Hr.Sec. Part-II (Class 12th) examination or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory board/University and must have secured not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together.

b) The candidates must have completed the age of 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission to the MBBS is sought.

Strength of students in each course :- 100 per year.

Recognition/ Affiliation :-

             The Institution is recognized by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi vide letter No.V-11015/2/2002 ME(Policy-I) dated 03.07.2002, on the recommendations of Medical Council of India. 

             The College is affiliated to the University of Jammu which is also the examining body of the programme offered by the College.
