Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management Gwalior (ABV-IIITM Gwalior), a Deemed University, is an apex IT and Management Institute, established by the ministry of HRD, Government of India. ABV-IIITM Gwalior strives to become a world-class institution, thereby contribute towards research and education producing technology and business leaders. It integrates management as a concept with technology as a platform to create a synergic approach for solving emerging industry problems.
Programmes
The Institute offers academic Programmes for student in both IT and Management. The students are admitted for Integrated Post Graduate programme which is of 5 year duration and student enter after 12th class.
Student are also taken for Post graduate programmes of MBA and M.Tech in which only engineering students are inducted after they have qualified all India level exams with a certain minimum level of performance, followed by written tests and interviews. Integrated Post Graduate Programme (IPG) : B.Tech(ICT) + M.Tech. (ICT) / B.Tech(ICT) + MBA
This is a five year integrated programme with a choice of following two dual degrees:
- B.Tech(ICT)+M.Tech(ICT)
- B.Tech.(ICT)+MBA
Admission : Current IPG batch is being admitted through AIEEE conducted by CBSE.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Following specialized program in MBA are offered by the Institute:
- Infrastructure Management
- IT enabled Services Management
- Non Formal Sector Management
- e-Governance & Public Services Management
Admission : Admission is done through CAT followed by GD / Pesonal Interview with due consideration for Academic record and Work Experience.
Master of Technology (M.Tech)
Following specialized programmes in M.Tech are offered by the institute:
- Information Technology
- VLSI Design
- Advanced Computer Networks
- Software Engineering
Admission : Admission is done through GATE followed by written test and personal interviews (In 2006 qualifying criteria for admission was GATE percentage of 90 percentile or more.)
Doctoral Programmes (Ph.D.)
Doctoral programmes are offered in all areas of information and Communication Technology and Management. Section is done through entrance test and interview conducted at the institute.
Integrated PG (IPG) Admissions
5 Year Integrated Post Graduate Course (IPG)
This is one of the most sought after courses with about 80 seats.
The admission to these seats is done through the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE every year.
Previous batches have also been selected through IIT-JEE and All India Examinations conducted by the Institute.
The students appearing in AIEEE must have either completed their XII Standard or must be appearing in XII Standard, through a recognized board. Students qualifying the AIEEE exam are assigned an All India Rank (AIR). Admission to the college will be based on this AIR that a student gets. There is no state wise quota for admission to ABV-IIITM.

MBA (Duration 2 Years)
The admission to the various MBA courses are done through the CAT Examination at the National Level.
Candidates short listed on the basis of the written examination are given a chance to display their skills and abilities in a group discussion and an interview, where a final screening is done.

M.Tech
This course is one of the most recognized courses of all, in the country. For admission to these 80 M.Tech seats, the best technical minds in the country attempt their best every year.
The admission is through GATE examination (a minimum percentile is required. In 2006, minimum percentile was 90.). After the students clear the exam, separate interviews & group discussions are conducted by the Institute.
Its only after clearing these steps, that a student gets an opportunity to experience the best.
